Abstract

Systemic Lupus erythematosus (SLE), a multisystem autoimmune disease with protean manifestations, is often complicated by infective exacerbations, which may be opportunisticor de novo. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection has been linked to retinitis, enterocolitis, myocarditis, pneumonia, and other conditions in SLE patients. We report a case of SLE with CMV colitis, with its sequelae and past tuberculous pericarditis.
