Tracheal Bronchus: Clinical Spectrum and Bronchoscopic Detection - A Case Series

Abstract

Tracheal bronchus is an uncommon congenital anomaly of the tracheobronchial tree, usually detected incidentally. We report a case series of three adult patients in whom a right-sided tracheal bronchus was identified during fibre-optic bronchoscopy performed for varied clinical indications, including lung malignancy, tuberculosis, and hemoptysis. This series highlights the importance of recognizing this anomaly during bronchoscopic and airway procedures.
